Why Should I Use an ASUSTOR Instead of Public Cloud Services?

The flourishment of social media and low barriers to entry on creative platforms, demand for photo management tools is at an all-time high. Many people choose to use cloud photo albums to manage their photos. Since Google recently announced that it will cancel free unlimited storage space for high quality photos. Smartphones have made digital photography accessible to almost everyone, but without unlimited storage, there will always be a day when your storage space fills up and is rendered unusable. A large number of those users have already made the switch to ASUSTOR as the tool of choice for saving and protecting irreplaceable photos. Recent years have seen a variety of adjustments in the payment plans of public cloud providers while an ASUSTOR NAS is a one-time purchase. As long as you choose a NAS and hard drive that meets your needs, you’ll have enough storage capacity with the ability to easily upgrade storage in the future should needs change. In the long run, this lowers storage costs while also eliminating surprise charges while increasing performance as an ASUSTOR NAS does not need to be connected to the Internet for local access.

ASUSTOR NAS devices keep your data safe at home with you and easily accessible. Public cloud services are not guaranteed to be always accessible, as made apparent by Google’s December 2020 outage and cloud photo albums hosted by any company are no exception. The Google services outage makes apparent the lack of ownership customers have over their data. Total privacy for customers and stored is not guaranteed while closure or financial insolvency of the platform may render photos and other data inaccessible, or worse, erased. With an ASUSTOR NAS, you own and control what happens to your data.
